"Patricia Mulvihill, president of the North San Gabriel Alliance, said the Alliance and the community have succeeded in delaying Exfluor’s construction since April 2022. Alliance members are hopeful the upcoming hearings will continue to delay construction until at least December. Mulvihill added that her organization was thrilled when they learned the contested case hearing had been granted."
December 23rd, 2022 NSGA and 9 individuals, with combined 10 issues, were granted a Contested Case Hearing by the TCEQ Commissioners on December 14, 2022. “I live right on the corner near the plant,” said Elizabeth Williams, who is a member of the North San Gabriel Alliance, during the informal question-and-answer period of the meeting. “My family has been there for seven generations, so we’re pretty scared.”
